There is a utility accessible only to Chairman's and secretaries where you can view all possible resident entry duplicates. This is found under the maintenance section of the application, as shown below:
The system will try to detect duplicate entries based on first name, last name, birthdate and gender. A typical example is the following figure:
As you can see from the above figure, we have two resident matching the criteria and they are ordered right above one another. Notice the available action for each record, while you are able to delete one record and not the other, this is because there already exists a related record for this, such as the immunization record.
Once you have delete the desired record, both entries will be removed from the screen as there are no other duplicate remaining aside from the chosen valid entry.
If there are no available actions for both records, you will need to manually search for the desired record to be removed from the residents module, then delete it from there.
IMPORTANT: Once you delete a duplicate resident from the duplicates page, this cannot be undone. Please make sure you are deleting the correct item.
